A daily profile (weather permitting) of the Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) is collected at the end of the FRF pier by using an Ocean Sensor's CTD gage (OS200). The instrument measures conductivity, temperature, and depth. From these parameters, salinity, density, and the speed of sound are computed based on the UNESCO 83 standards.

The CTD data directory contains ASCII data files and plots.
The file names indicate YYYY MM DD HHmm (Eastern Standard Time).

Column definitions
  1. Cond: conductivity (mS/cm)
  2. Temp: temperature (C)
  3. Press: Depth(m) from surface.
            Tide not considered.
  4. Sal: salinity (ppt)
  5. SSP: sound speed (m/s)
  6. Sigma-T: Water density () g/cm³
      = (-1) * 10³
     If density =1.02354 then =23.54
